Mac users: The macOS installer supports Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) Macs only.

Installation Guide

Download the installer

Click the Windows button above to download the .exe installer.

Run the installer

Double-click the downloaded file. If Windows shows a security prompt, click "More info" then "Run anyway".

Follow the setup wizard

Choose an install location (the default is fine) and click Install. The app will be ready once the wizard finishes.

Launch the app

The app starts automatically after installation. You can also find it in the Start Menu or on your Desktop.

Download the installer

Click the macOS button above to download the .pkg file.

Open the installer

Double-click the downloaded .pkg file. macOS will likely block it with a security warning — this is expected. Just click OK to dismiss it.

Allow the installer in Security settings

Important — required one-time step

Since the app is not distributed via the Mac App Store, macOS requires you to manually approve it:

Open System Settings (click the Apple menu → System Settings).
Go to Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the Security section. You should see a message about vessel-desktop-app.pkg being blocked.
Click "Open Anyway" and confirm with your password or Touch ID.

This button is only available for about one hour after the blocked attempt, so do this step right after step 2.

Complete the installation

The installer will open. Follow the prompts and click Install. You may need to enter your password. The app will be installed to your Applications folder.

Launch the app

Open Finder → Applications and double-click vessel-desktop-app. On the first launch, if macOS asks again, repeat the "Open Anyway" step from Privacy & Security for the app itself.
